“onduty” members talk to real doctors. When you request a consultation we will connect you with an appropriate professional.
What are some of the common conditions RealAfrica1st “onduty” treats?
Includes but not limited to things like sinus problems, respiratory infection, malaria, typhoid, allergies, urinary tract infections and many other non-emergency illnesses.
Can RealAfrica1st “onduty” handle
my emergency situations?
YES. Statistically the majority of communications with RealAfrica1st “onduty” are actually non-emergency events. Emergencies will be connected expediently to our “ondutyICE” (InCase
of Emergency) portal, where appropriate attention will be deployed.
Can I speak with a specialist?
YES. First and foremost you will speak with the doctor and where necessary he will provide guidance on the
type of specialist you need. At which point you are batched through to the specialist portal.
Can I request a particular doctor?
YES. “onduty” is designed to furnish expedient best of breed medical attention
as and when, to suit the need. If you have an existing doctor, we foster support of that relationship however if he is not “onduty” or you show a preference, we will respect your wishes.
Can I use it for my family?
Depending on your specific plan.
Can I get a prescription?
YES. Providing the doctor has determined via consultation the best treatment and appropriate medication. **
How are prescriptions
sent to the Pharmacy?
Providing the doctor prescribes medication, Real Africa1st “onduty” can dispense prescription drugs from it’s pharmacy, alternatively the prescription is submitted electronically or by phone to the pharmacy
of your choice. **
Is my electronic health record kept private.
YES. Health records are kept totally private and we employ robust encryption methods to protect your personal information. You determine who
can see the information in your record.
Can I be turned down for a pre-existing condition?
No. we do not turn patients away because of pre-existing conditions.
Can I call realAfrica1st “onduty” outside
YES. RealAfrica1st “onduty” does not currently operate outside of Africa. However provides a selection of international professionals via the portal, for international travellers. ***
Suitable security measures will be taken to ensure medication is dispensed to the “member” after consultation with doctor, no minor without authority from a parent or guardian and in accordance with Legislation of the day.
This facility is for members who travel internationally and/or where the member has been referred by his doctor.
